Alien, the new Limar time trial helmet, represents a significant advance in aerodynamics, through its innovative design and use of advanced technologies as well as the meticulous approach taken to aerodynamic testing. In addition to testing under ideal conditions, we extended the tests to realistic scenarios, simulating the wind conditions commonly encountered in road time trials, with wind angles varying between 5 and 10 degrees.
These tests revealed that "Alien" excels particularly in these real-world conditions, exceeding expectations and delivering even better performance than the results obtained in CFD and wind tunnel tests. This confirms that "Alien" is not only optimised for ideal laboratory conditions, but is truly adapted to the dynamic challenges of road cycling, offering cyclists an unrivalled aerodynamic advantage.
In practical terms, Alien's aerodynamic advantage over its predecessor, Air King Evo, translates into significant energy savings, giving the cyclist an advantage of approximately 10 watts that allows them to maintain high speeds with less effort, optimising race performance.
