Basso Astra Ultegra Di2 Cosmic S Asphalt
Can a bike designed for the road still perform on gravel? Some road bikes can be adapted; the Astra was created to be exactly what you need... finding the perfect balance between road racing and rougher routes. Welcome to the world of All-Road.
The Astra, approved by UCI, retains its road focus while increasing stability and comfort. It is light, without pushing carbon to its extreme limits, preserving Basso's racing DNA while making it versatile: ideal for those who are not professional athletes but want to ride every day. The new frame features dropped seatstays, a 12 mm higher stack and a 3 mm shorter reach, creating a slightly more relaxed riding experience. Tyre clearance of up to 35 mm allows wider tyres to be fitted for venturing beyond the tarmac onto light gravel roads.
Technology
-
3k Toray High Modulus Carbon Fibre: The frame is made entirely in Italy by the skilled hands of Basso's craftspeople. Its features are designed to increase the fun factor for anyone who simply wants to get in the saddle, whatever their definition of "riding". Basso was among the first brands to research and use carbon in its frames, developing new techniques to continually improve performance, reliability and durability.
-
Paradigma Integration System: Routing many cables through tight spaces often makes the steering sluggish and heavy. Basso has managed to integrate internal routing while keeping handling light and precise. The body of the Paradigma stem remains free of cables, so it can be removed at any time without disconnecting them; this makes maintenance, transport in bike cases and changing the stem length easier.
-
3B Clamp System Gen 2: A fully concealed seatpost fastening solution, invisible on the frame, combining technological innovation and aesthetics. This lightweight, durable integrated clamping system offers the additional benefit of an anti-vibration function, improving the riding experience and increasing comfort on uneven and rough surfaces.
