Trek Checkpoint ALR 5 combines the strength of an Alpha 300 Series aluminium frame with a full-carbon fork. It is a gravel bike for linking tarmac and gravel roads, with 42mm tyres and mounts for carrying equipment on day rides and trips.

• Room for luggage: Mounts for frame bags, racks and mudguards let you distribute the load across the bike and arrange a setup to suit your route.
• SRAM Apex XPLR: The 12-speed single-chainring drivetrain pairs a 40-tooth chainring with a 11-44 cassette for straightforward gear changes on gravel.
• Gravel tyres and braking: The 700x42mm Girona Pro tyres offer volume and GR puncture protection. Wheels and tyres are Tubeless Ready; the SRAM Apex hydraulic brakes provide controlled braking.

Trek was founded in 1976 in Waterloo, Wisconsin, by Dick Burke and Bevil Hogg and is still based in the same city today. It makes road, mountain, gravel, city and electric bikes to support different ways of riding. Its story began in a barn, with 904 steel touring frames produced in its first year.
