The Sram Red eTap AXS™ rear derailleur is compatible with the AXS app and designed to work seamlessly with double or single-chainring cranksets. Advanced chain movement management ensures quiet, secure operation, whatever terrain you tackle. The rear derailleur also features faster pulleys, bearings and connectivity to ensure a rapid response from the entire drivetrain exactly when you need it most.

AXS™
AXS™ is the new Sram component integration system that connects the bike's electronic components to the app. The Sram AXS™ app allows cyclists to view battery charge levels, change behaviour and customise shifting controls, as well as receive maintenance reminders and download app updates.
Orbit™
Orbit™ is an innovative technology for controlling rear derailleur movement. It uses a silicon-based fluid within a sleek, ultralight hydraulic clutch system. Unlike a mechanical clutch rear derailleur, Orbit™ technology adds no resistance to the rear derailleur spring during slow or slight movement. This makes shifting and rear wheel removal easier. While riding, the hydraulic clutch system limits chain movement. It provides maximum reliability and optimal chain tension for 2x and 1x systems.
X-Sync
Sram X-Sync 1x technology ensures the highest level of performance and durability. The tall, square X-Sync tooth profile on the chainrings and pulleys provides optimal, consistent chain retention compared with chainrings and pulleys using a conventional triangular tooth profile. To ensure perfect performance even in muddy conditions, X-Sync chainrings and pulleys have been designed with special recesses that clear mud.
eTap®
All the technology used in the Sram Red eTap groupset, including wireless shifting, the advanced battery management system and mechatronics, is designed with one goal: to make shifting as easy, intuitive and effective as possible. This shifting system is called eTap. The right lever selects a harder gear, the left lever an easier gear, and both levers operate the front derailleur. Simple, foolproof and intuitive.
Founded in Chicago in 1987 by Stan Day and a group of cycling enthusiasts, SRAM is still based in the US city today. It makes drivetrains and brakes for road, gravel and mountain bikes. Its story began with a single product: Grip Shift, the shifter that lets riders change gear by twisting the grip.
