Reverse Headset Clamp 1 1/8"

The Reverse 1 1/8" steerer clamp is a 10 mm aluminium spacer with an additional clamping function. It fits beneath the stem in place of the standard spacer and provides extra clamping force to prevent the headset from coming loose. The specified diameter is 1 1/8" (Ø 28.6 mm) and the weight is 13.8 g.

It is useful in the workshop, where the handlebar can be turned sideways without loosening the headset, and in the workstand, where the fork will not fall out. It is also useful for transport by car or by plane in a case, when the bike travels dismantled or protected.

Reverse Components was born in 2004 from Peter Schmid’s passion for mountain biking and is now based in Freudenstadt, in Germany’s Black Forest. It makes MTB components, from handlebars to pedals and wheels, and works with the EFBE laboratory to test them, bringing trail experience into product development.
