SRAM X-4 Rear Derailleur Long Cage

The SRAM X-4 long-cage rear derailleur is a derailleur for MTB designed for 7-, 8- or 9-speed drivetrains. It accepts sprockets with up to 34 teeth, making it suitable for anyone looking for a wide gear range. The cable pull ratio is 1:1, using conventional cable-operated shifting.
The cage is aluminium, while the jockey wheels use steel bearings. Black is the only colour available, so compatibility with your drivetrain is the main consideration. Before buying, check the number of speeds on your bike (7, 8 or 9) and the largest sprocket: if it exceeds the 34-tooth limit, this rear derailleur is not suitable.

Founded in Chicago in 1987 by Stan Day and a group of cycling enthusiasts, SRAM is still based in the US city today. It makes drivetrains and brakes for road, gravel and mountain bikes. Its story began with a single product: Grip Shift, the shifter that lets riders change gear by twisting the grip.
