Trek Marlin 4 Gen 2 is a versatile mountain bike for first off-road rides, cycle paths and everyday journeys. The balanced second-generation geometry helps build confidence in the saddle, while the suspension fork helps handle potholes and uneven surfaces.
- Practical for everyday use too: The Alpha Silver aluminium frame has rack and kickstand mounts: you can adapt the bike for rides with panniers and journeys around town.
- Gearing to get started: The Shimano Tourney rear derailleur and Altus front derailleur offer combinations to adapt your pedalling to the gradients.
- Front suspension: The SR Suntour XC 28 fork has a coil spring and preload adjustment for tackling uneven surfaces on easier routes.
A simple starting point for exploring off-road and cycling more often, with gears for flat routes and climbs.
Trek was founded in 1976 in Waterloo, Wisconsin, by Dick Burke and Bevil Hogg and is still based in the same city today. It makes road, mountain, gravel, city and electric bikes to support different ways of riding. Its story began in a barn, with 904 steel touring frames produced in its first year.
