Bergamont LJ EPP Complete Box

The Bergamont LJ EPP box increases the load capacity of any E-Cargoville LJ fitted with a 70 cm load unit. Using a combination of aluminium and expanded polypropylene (EPP) has significantly increased durability and passenger safety, while also improving the box's assembly and design. All components are now fully recyclable too.

The LJ EPP box can serve as both a safe passenger compartment and a protected cargo compartment for shopping or other goods. It can be equipped with a passenger canopy or a tailored cover for optimum weather protection, even in adverse conditions.

The integrated backrests and headrests are ergonomically shaped, ensuring safe, comfortable seating for up to two children when combined with the Bergamont LJ EPP Kids Bench (available separately). The material properties are particularly effective here, as expanded polypropylene efficiently absorbs impact energy while remaining extremely durable and easy to clean.

Although appearance is not the only consideration, our design aims to go beyond functionality alone. The Box has been meticulously crafted to integrate perfectly with the E-Cargoville LJ, enhancing both its practicality and modern appearance.

Bergamont traces its origins to 1993, in a small workshop in Hamburg, and is associated with founder Stefan Berkes. Today it is based in the St. Pauli district and offers gravel bikes, urban and trekking e-bikes, and electric cargo bikes. Its story begins beside the Schlachthof, the city’s historic slaughterhouse.
