Voice Search

Bryton Rider S500 speaks every language! With an internet connection, Rider S500 eliminates the need for on-screen keyboards by providing Google's online voice search, available in over 100 languages: a faster, more intuitive and comprehensive way to search for addresses or POI while riding on roads, trails or wherever you are!

OpenStreetMaps and POI

Rider S500 comes preloaded with OSM (OpenStreetMaps) maps and supports enhanced zoom with up to 16 levels. The device's map displays a wide range of POI (points of interest), including bike shops, hospitals, food stops, toilets, etc., and selecting a POI provides a brief description. The OSM maps included in Rider S500 have also been improved to show MTB routes and other useful information for off-road disciplines.

Advanced Routing Features

When you stray from the route you are following, Rider S500 connects to your smartphone to guide you back to the original route. You can also reverse a saved route to swap the start and finish points, or retrace a route you are currently riding to return to the starting point along the same route.

Turn-by-Turn Navigation

Whether you are exploring new terrain or following a downloaded route, Rider S500 is the ideal companion for your rides, offering navigation and advanced guidance data, including streets (when connected to Bryton Active), points of interest and peaks (customisable via Bryton Active), and turn distance and direction information, all on the preloaded European OSM (OpenStreetMap) maps.

Climb Challenge

In Follow Route mode, reach new heights with the Climb Challenge feature. When you start a climb, Rider S500 displays a dedicated page, providing a graphical overview of the various segments covered. The Climb Challenge screen also provides a summary of all the climbs on the route, brightly coloured segments, distance, altitude, elevation gain, and start and finish points, giving you easy access to all this information at a glance.

Advanced Training Features

With the new graphical workout overview with zoom support and new advanced features, such as real-time intensity adjustment, TrainingPeaks compatibility, a new flexible training mode and the ability to add notes (via the Bryton Active app or TrainingPeaks), workouts on Rider S500 have become even better! You can view workout progress, customisable power zones and more, all through a vivid graphical interface!

Indoor Smart Trainer

Equipped with powerful new features and a wide range of integrations, Rider S500 brings the thrill of the route to your indoor smart trainer! With ANT+ FE-C smart trainer compatibility, Rider S500 can communicate with your indoor smart trainer to control its resistance or power (target resistance / power), simulate custom virtual workouts (smart training) or simulate a route (virtual ride).

Smart Training

Rider S500 makes it easy to create custom virtual workouts for smart trainers from home! Training programmes can be designed with the Bryton Active app and downloaded directly to the device. With ANT+ FE-C support, Rider S500 communicates with the smart trainer to simulate the resistance from the training programme.

Live Track

Share your location in real time with friends and family using the new Bryton Live Track feature. Simply generate a sharing link directly from your smartphone and share it through any messaging app. With the Live Track link, anyone can follow you online and see your real-time location, current speed, travel time, route time, distance and the time of the last update!

Radar Compatibility

By connecting to a ANT+ Bike Radar, you can see vehicles approaching from up to 150 m behind you through notifications that keep you alert. The bar on the right-hand side of each data page indicates approaching traffic in different colours and sounds an audible alert.

Ambient light sensor: suitable for all conditions

Using the built-in ambient light sensor, Rider S500 automatically adjusts the brightness to the detected light conditions. When riding indoors, passing through a tunnel, under trees, etc., the backlight automatically brightens to compensate, ensuring optimal screen brightness anytime, anywhere!

Sync with the Bryton app

Training data can be automatically synced via WLAN or Bluetooth from the device to the Bryton Active app, where you can track your progress, view graphical analyses and share your activities with millions of enthusiasts. Using Bryton Active, you can also sync and plan workouts, download planned routes and much more. After a simple setup, automatic syncing from your Bryton Active account lets you share and compare your results with STRAVA, TrainingPeaks and Selfloops users.
