The SRAM PC 971 9-speed chain is for anyone with a 9-speed drivetrain who wants a strong, precise chain. PowerChain II handles front shifting and shifting under load without sacrificing precision at the rear. It uses a PowerLink connector.
The colour is silver, with nickel-finished silver outer links and polished grey inner links. The solid pin is hardened chrome-treated and reinforced using the Step2 process. It has 114 links: check the length against your bike before fitting. It is suitable for 9-speed drivetrains.

Founded in Chicago in 1987 by Stan Day and a group of cycling enthusiasts, SRAM is still based in the US city today. It makes drivetrains and brakes for road, gravel and mountain bikes. Its story began with a single product: Grip Shift, the shifter that lets riders change gear by twisting the grip.
