SRAM S500 Eagle AXS rear derailleur

The SRAM S500 Eagle AXS rear derailleur is designed for 12-speed Eagle drivetrains with a 10-50T or 10-52T cassette. The long aluminium cage and type 3 damper retain the chain securely and make descents quieter. The AXS system allows you to customise settings and integrate other AXS components.

The Overload Clutch protects the rear derailleur from impacts: on impact, the motor disengages and the derailleur immediately returns to position. The system is water- and dust-resistant, useful for fords and mud. The rear derailleur is black and supplied without a AXS battery, which must be purchased separately if you do not have one.

Founded in Chicago in 1987 by Stan Day and a group of cycling enthusiasts, SRAM is still based in the US city today. It makes drivetrains and brakes for road, gravel and mountain bikes. Its story began with a single product: Grip Shift, the shifter that lets riders change gear by twisting the grip.
