The Sram Eagle X-Sync chainring for 12-speed single-chainring groupsets features a new design called X-Sync 2 and reduced weight. The new tooth profile retains the renowned narrow-wide design, with deeper teeth, and introduces a distinctive new hook shape that allows quiet chain engagement, reducing wear, improving retention and helping to clear mud.

Technology

X-Sync 2
Eagle X-Sync 2 technology is the evolution of the previous X-Sync. The aggressive tooth design provides improved chain retention for smoother, more efficient pedalling. Particular attention has been paid to chainring durability: X-Sync Eagle technology reduces friction and the build-up of mud, sand and dirt on the chainring.

Founded in Chicago in 1987 by Stan Day and a group of cycling enthusiasts, SRAM is still based in the US city today. It makes drivetrains and brakes for road, gravel and mountain bikes. Its story began with a single product: Grip Shift, the shifter that lets riders change gear by twisting the grip.
