Since its foundation, Selle Italia has invested in research and development because it knows that growth is only possible through innovation. Last summer, it introduced Green-Tech technology: a production process that creates environmentally sustainable products with a low environmental impact, short production times and competitive costs. This automated system, developed entirely in Italy and unique in the world, produces high-quality saddles without adhesives or polyurethane, substances with a high environmental impact.

The first saddle made using this production process is a completely new development, as it mechanically assembles three components without polluting adhesives. The saddle is made using Flex Control technology, a special structure consisting of two elements with different levels of flexibility, providing superior comfort and greater durability than similar products on the market. The third component is the Fec Alloy rails, made from an iron-carbon steel alloy with high strength and flexibility.

The technical features of the Model X Green Superflow saddle include Total Gel padding (with an integrated antibacterial treatment), which completely covers the surface of the saddle structure, and a waved shape, making it ideal for cyclists who prefer to maintain a stable position on the saddle, even on long rides. Furthermore, according to the idmatch system and thanks to its waved shape, this saddle is particularly suitable for those with a posterior pelvic tilt.

Entirely Made in Italy, an important factor for the Treviso-based company, especially considering the problems that have arisen in the cycling supply chain over the past year. With this latest Selle Italia creation, the brand also moves closer to environmentally sustainable production, meeting the needs of those who care about the environment while seeking performance and comfort at a competitive price.

Thanks to Idmatch Smart Caliper technology, Selle Italia offers 6 size variants divided into two groups: S1, S2, S3 – L1, L2, L3.
In terms of dimensions, the S saddles are all fairly narrow, with a seating width from 131 to 136 mm, while the L saddles range from 145 mm to a maximum of 150 mm.

The number associated with the size (1, 2 or 3) indicates whether a central cut-out is present (Flow technology): a special anatomical cut-out that relieves pressure on the seating area, ensuring excellent comfort through greater flexibility in the centre of the saddle.

Founded in 1897 in Corsico, just outside Milan, Selle Italia is now based in Casella d’Asolo, in the province of Treviso. It makes saddles and accessories for cyclists, as well as measurement systems for bike fitting. Its first saddles were intended for bicycles used for everyday transport.
