EXO

EXO is a cut- and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of many Maxxis mountain bike and gravel tyres. This tightly woven fabric is lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that tyre performance remains unchanged. Choose EXO protection for greater durability for gravel, XC and light trail riding.

TUBELESS READY

Tubeless ready tyres offer riders several advantages: the ability to run lower air pressures, improving traction; lower rolling resistance than a tyre with an inner tube; and less chance of a flat because there is no inner tube. Tubeless ready tyres are marked with the letters "TR" on the sidewall.

Tubeless ready tyres must be fitted to tubeless-compatible rims and require liquid sealant to maintain pressure. Liquid sealants have the added benefit of sealing small punctures. Be sure to check the sealant regularly and top it up as needed, as it will dry out over time.

Liquid sealants must only be used in the following tyre types: road tubeless, tubular and tubeless ready. Using liquid sealants in any other Maxxis tyre will void the warranty.

3C MaxxTerra

3C MaxxTerra is the optimal three-layer rubber compound for our enduro and freeride tyres. This compound offers easy rolling uphill and better grip downhill, as well as a long service life.

WIDE TRAIL

Wide Trail (WT) construction optimises the tyre's tread layout and profile on today's modern, wider rims. Traditional tyres are designed around older, narrower rims and can create an overly square tyre profile, leading to suboptimal performance. WT tyres are optimised for an internal rim width of 35 mm, but have been shown to work across an internal rim width range of 30-35 mm, depending on rider preference.
