Campagnolo Pro-Tech Press Fit BB86 Bottom Bracket Cups

It features Pro-Tech™ technology, consisting of a patented external seal that protects the ball bearings from damaging water, mud and sand ingress, and a watertight central sleeve made from glass fibre-reinforced polyamide to prevent contamination from within. The new cups pair with oversized external stainless steel bearings fitted onto the two Ultra-Torque™ half-spindles firmly attached to the crank arms. Thanks to the Pro-Tech ™ sealing system, performance is always optimal, however and wherever you ride. Ekar bottom bracket options offer broad compatibility with frames on the market thanks to a complete range of threaded and PressFit cups.

Pro-Tech™
Patented Pro-Tech ™ dual-seal technology securely connects the two half-spindles inside the bottom bracket and protects the bearings from water and mud ingress, delivering long-lasting high performance even in the worst conditions. The innovative, proven Ultra-Torque™ technology has been developed for gravel: the Pro-Tech™ system's Hirth joint features self-centring, self-aligning teeth located at the centre of the crankset, where the ends of the integrated half-spindles meet. The spindles are secured together with a single protected oversized bolt, and their precise coupling can even compensate for the misalignment that some carbon frames may have due to tiny differences in manufacturing tolerances.

Torque transmission in the Pro-Tech™ crank system is as efficient as that of a single through-spindle and is lighter. It is also more durable thanks to better protection than other systems. The oversized stainless steel bearing on the crank arm, outside the bottom bracket cups, offers maximum stiffness, smoothness and strength thanks to the larger spindle diameter.
